How to translate selection

Select the text on a webpage and:

click the ImTranslator floating button, or use the context menu "Pop-up Bubble: Translate selection" to open Pop-up Bubble Translator (shortcut: Alt)

click "ImTranslator: Translator, Dictionary, TTS" button on the Chrome toolbar to open ImTranslator application, or use the context menu "ImTranslator: Translate selection" (shortcut: Alt+Z)

use the context menu Inline Translation: Translate selection (shortcut: Alt+C)

Inline Translator

Inline Translator translates a selected text on a page by splitting it into sentences and inserts the translation into a webpage preserving the original formatting.

Based on settings, the translation can be placed before or after the selected text or simply replaced the original.

Features:

Inline translator can be run on mouse selection from the context menu, or shortcut key.

Insert translation after or before the selected text.

Inline Translator Options

Pop-up Bubble Translator

The Pop-up translator translates words, phrases and text on any webpage and displays the translation in a pop-up bubble without leaving the page.

To translate, select a text on a webpage with the mouse and:

click the floating button

use the context menu "Pop-up Bubble: Translate selection"

use the shortcut key Alt (default)

translate on mouse selection only (set this mode in Options)

The translation is displayed in a pop-up bubble without leaving the page.

ImTranslator Bubble automatically detects the language of the selected text, so all you have to do is to select the target language to translate.

ImTranslator is a standalone application that performs an instant translation up to 5,000 characters using three translation providers (Googe Translate, Microsoft Translator, Translator).

To run ImTranslator:

choose "ImTranslator" from the context menu "ImTranslator: Translation, Dictionary, TTS"

use shortcut keys: Alt+ Z (default)

ImTranslator Options

Webpage Translation

Webpage Translation tool translates an entire webpage between over 90 languages using Google Translate service.

To translate a webpage, choose Webpage Translation from:

the context menu "ImTranslator: Translation, Dictionary, TTS".

or use the shortcuts Alt+P

The context menu provides the choice of a webpage translation mode:

translate an entire webpage

mouseover translation of a text segment

When you choose the mouseover translation mode, hover your mouse over the original text, and the translation for the highlighted segment will be displayed in an pop-up bubble.

The context menu allows you to change the translation language using the "Change language" menu. You can also change the translation language from the translation toolbar on the top of the page.

Webpage Translation Options

Translation History

Translation History keeps track of all your translation activity and stores translation records in the Translation History.

To access Translation History click the History link on each translation tool, or go to ImTranslator Options, then Translation History panel.

Dictionary

ImTranslator Dictionary translates single words and displays alternative translations along with the part of speech.

The translations are provided by Google Translate dictionary.

The Dictionary can be used in ImTranslator application, Pop-up Bubble or Inline Translator.

ImTranslator implemented shortcuts to make the work with translation applications more convenient.

The shortcuts can be used to run ImTranslator applications, to make translations, or to perform other tasks.
